How not to waste food while you are moving?


Relocating to a new place? Worried about the food items that you have? If yes then you better go through the following tips which will help you in consuming the foods and not waste any of it. So, don’t wait any further. Just read the tips discussed as under and treat your food right. 

·         Assess all that you have- You will first have to asses all the food items that you have. Check out all the nook and corner of your house where you have kept food including fridge, kitchen counter, cupboard, shelves and everywhere else. Keep a notepad with you and list down all the edible items that you have including the perishable, dry, non-perishable and others. This will help you in giving the right treatment to the goods and will help you in consuming them all. 

·         Create a plan to consume- After you have assessed all the goods, you better create a plan on how to consume the edible items that you just made a list of in the first step. Just keep the high priority items separately, which includes all the items that are to be consumed first and then the low priority items like cereals, and grains that can kept intact and consumed later. You can start packing the non-perishable items in the air tight containers and keep them safe.

·         Eat the perishable items- When it comes to the perishable items like meat and other foods, you should consume them. Better not buy any more canned and frozen foods from the grocery stores, instead focus on consuming the present available ones. Whatever food is leftover, you can look for a good recipe on the internet or refer your cookery book and consume it all. 

·         Throw the expired food- Though the above steps will help you to not waste even a bit of the food. However, if the food has expired then you will not be left with any other option than to throw it. And of course, you should throw it because consuming food after it has crossed its shelf life date can be fatal. It can cause food poisoning.
